Batgirl director Adil El Arbi has shared an image of Leslie Grace's Batgirl standing face to face with Michael Keaton's Batman.
The photo, shared on Adil El Arbi's Instagram story, shows Grace and Keaton in their full costumes, standing in the gloomy streets of Gotham, accompanied by their director.
The now-cancelled film would have featured Keaton as Wayne, a revival of his role from the Tim Burton era of Batman films. This would be one of two different occasions in which he'd wear the cowl for the DCEU; he's set to play Batman in the upcoming Flash movie, too.
Warner Bros. officially cancelled Batgirl earlier this week. It was planned to be a smaller scale DC movie, and was produced on a tighter budget than the likes of Justice League, but now it won't even see the light of day on streaming services, nevermind a theatrical release. As such, this photo is a rare look at both the Batgirl we'll likely never see, as well as Keaton's return to his iconic role.
