Ryan Reynolds' Company Just Sold for More Than $1 Billion

Must read

Phone provider T-Mobile has announced that it acquired Ryan Reynolds' Company Mint Mobile for over a billion dollars. The acquisition is a part of the Ka'ena Corporation purchase, which allowed them control over various companies, including Mint Mobile.

In a video announcing the acquisition, Reynolds admits that Mint Mobile has used the T-Mobile network since the company was created. He goes on to say that a big reason why many Mint Mobile users "have such a great experience is because with Mint is due to the T-Mobile network."

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

As the video continues, Mike Sievert, the CEO of T-Mobile, confirms that Mint Mobile users would continue to pay $15 a month for its services. In addition to that, Mint Mobiles founders David Glickman and Rizwan Kassim will join T-Mobile to help manage the brands, allowing them to operate as a separate business within the company. You also won't have to worry about Reynolds leaving either because he'll still be part of the Mint Mobile company.

"I never dreamt I'd own a wireless company, and I certainly never dreamt I'd sell it to T-Mobile," Reynolds wrote on Twitter. "Life is strange, and I'm incredibly proud and grateful. #MintMobile"

The acquisition has yet to be greenlit, but it's expected to go through later this year. T-Mobile had said in a statement that it "does not currently expect the transaction to have any impact on the company's 2023 guidance or its ongoing stock repurchase program."
