Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Namor Soars as New Diamond Select Statue | NYCC 2022

Must read

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may still be a few weeks from release, but it's already inspiring some pretty swell toys and collectibles. Not only is Tenoch Huerta's Namor getting a Marvel Legends figure, Diamond Select Toys is covering the high-end collectibles market with a truly dynamic piece of Namor in mid-flight.

That Namor statue is one of many eye-popping pieces on display at Diamond Select's NYCC booth this weekend. Check out the slideshow gallery below for a clsoer look at everything:

Namor is one of several new pieces making their debut at NYCC. He's part of the Marvel Gallery line of PVC statues, meaning he's a 1:8 scale PVC statue that should run around $50 or $60. He should right fit in alongside other MCU statues like WandaVision's Scarlet Witch and the What If…?-inspired Captain Carter.

This display makes it clear Diamond Select is continuing to focus a lot of attention on the heroes and villains of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the lineup including full-size statues and mini busts. We're also quite impressed with the growing Star Wars Milestones statue line, which offers detailed 1:6 scale pieces that give Hot Toys a run for its money. Check back soon for hands-on impressions of the newly released Star Wars Milestones: The Clone Wars Darth Maul statue.

Finally, Diamond has a few other key franchises covered. Their Gargoyles mini-busts are a worthy alternative to NECA's impressive Gargoyles action figure line. There's also plenty of new Transformers product and new additions to the Bruce Lee line. Plus, the booth offers fans another look at the TMNT: The Last Ronin statue.
